One milestone in this project is the development of a cross platform for sensor nodes. A cross platform offers a unified interface to different operating systems for sensor nodes. Applications and protocols which use the interface of the cross platform can be ported to another operating system easily.
The simplified reuse of user applications will be ensured in this way. This includes a reuse of different protocols, which offer a fault tolerant and energy efficient data transfer between sensor nodes of the network. This allows creating applications from existing components and so the software development will be simplified and less error-prone.
